| After CN announced that they planned to purchase the DM&IR, local officials decided to run "Safety Specials" for employees and their families. In reality the passenger trips were more like a farewell gesture by local management before CN's purchase became final in May 2004. Here employees ride through the fog of Lake Superior in the railroad's business car Northland, which is housed today at the railroad museum in Duluth. |
