| NS 24K was forced to take a roundabout detour to Morrisville, PA via Allentown and the CSX Trenton Subdivision due to trackwork on Septa near Morrisville. The train operated eastbound to Manville, NJ with three NS units leading. Two units were on the hind end, which became the head end when the train reversed direction at Manville to head south/west down the Trenton Sub. The train is seen here passing Manville Yard moments after departing Port Reading Junction with a CSX pilot crew aboard. Note the EOT device still attached to the front pilot of 8373; this was left in place after the train reversed direction. |
