Remarks & Notes

ATSF B40-8W 518 and 556 lead an employees special eastbound at Pinole on July 4, 1992. The consist is Santa Fe business cars 62, 60 and 89. The Pinole depot is boarded up but still used by MOW crews. Built in 1945, the depot was a stop for the San Francisco Chief until its discontinuance in 1971. The depot was finally torn down in August 1998. Kodachrome 64
