| A pair of ex-SP geeps and a single hopper are seen tied down in El Centro Yard on the Calexico Sub. Note the "L-window" on the engineer side of 282. Reportedly there are only 6 units left on UP with this feature. El Centro is home to five locals and the triweekly road crews to/from West Colton (MECWC/MWCEC). A large chunk of the traffic on this line goes to Mexicali, Mexico, where UP interchanges with Ferromex. |
