| Point of Rocks, MD 2/15/2014 - The helpers are shoving hard against 120 loaded coal hoppers bound for Benning Yard in Washington, D.C. The eastbound B-842 is just beginning its climb out of the Potomac River valley over Barnesville Grade on the CSX Metropolitan Subdivision. The interlocking is called "East Rocks" and controls a set of crossovers and the diverging wye track used by MARC commuter trains to access the Old Main Line Subdivision towards Frederick, MD. |
