A pair of newly aquired Siemens S70 dubbed Avanto light rail trains float above the intersection of Minnesota highways 55 and 62 officially within the Unorganized Territory of Fort Snelling. After 10 years of exclusively running light rail trains on the Hiawatha or Blue Line, a new light rail option will start on June 14, 2014, one of the primary factor into Metro Transit increasing their number of trains.
