    Before anybody imagined a derailment in Mattawamkeag putting an end to Bakken crude trains through Maine, one such empty was heading back West under an overcast sky on February 23, 2013. From the guardrail along Tim Horton's drive-through in Bangor, a mixed bag of BNSF and CSX power were in control of an empty MARJ crude train heading along the waterfront concert area. Out of a total seven crudes I personally saw through District 1, only two were ever in sunny conditions. Sigh....
