Fortunately for January 19, 2013, Pan Am's District 1 activity was not represented by the overcast weather conditions that plagued much of the month. Seen from above the mainline at Route 202 in Hampden, Maine, westbound MARJ led nearly 100 empty crude tanks toward Northern Maine Junction. BNSF power added much needed color to the otherwise dreary day.
