| If you ever purchased a older model Ford Taurus, then it was built here and most likely rode the rails out. This is just another scene that is all but a memory, Ford's Hapeville plant which was built in 1947 closed in late 2006 and the site has since been leveled. And soon enough the NS GP50 will also be a memory. On any given day, day or night one could take a stroll though Hapeville and catch plenty of action as East Point based local jobs spotted cars on demand for Ford. |
