One of the two Electro-Motive Division RS1325’s ever produced lies derailed in Pekin, Illinois on Friday, March 28, 2014. Illinois & Midland Railroad # 30, built in the fall of 1960 for Chicago & Illinois Midland Railway, looked to have minor damage to handrails on the long hood side. The units flexicoil trucks were still attached, but two tank cars and four covered hoppers behind the locomotive were also on the ground. A worker from SunRise Ag Services was pumping off the remaining diesel fuel from the locomotive, which remained on its side as of noon Friday. One crew member reportedly suffered scrapes and bruises and was treated and released from Pekin Memorial Hospital.
