| Soo 2226A, 779, 2203B are just starting to get train 911 rolling with 130 cars on a dark, cloudy November evening. The rear end guys will be on the caboose in about 25 more car lengths and it will be run 8 to get this monster up to track speed. 911 has had a couple of ground relay problems with the big SD and has also lost time due to air problems on the trip out from Sault Ste. Marie. The head brakeman has taken up residence in the cab of 779 in case it needs another reset. The crew is already talking about how far they will get before running out of hours. With the size of this train plus the power and air trouble there is no way Gladstone will be reached without a re-crew. |
