| A rare move of a BNSF ore train down CN's Proctor Hill. A washout on BNSF coupled with the need for ore at U.S. Steel mills in Alabama and Illinois resulted in this unusual move. CN operated the train from Duluth to Minntac and return. The 159-car train was split in half at Proctor prior to being brought down the 2.2% grade. Here the second section rolls downgrade near Spirit Mountain. |
