| DFB 7158 hauls the Northern Explorer through Ngaruawahia towards Wellington about 350 miles on. The DFT/ DFB are turbo rebuilds of EMD G22MC built in Canada from 1979. The coaches on this train won a design award and were built at Hillside, Dunedin (closed in 2013.)
