| A loaded coal train arrives in downtown Fremont on the Overland Route mainline as it crosses the BNSF's line from Lincoln to Sioux City in the distance. They just met a westbound intermodal train a few minutes ago and the signal for main 1 shows another westbound is already lined up to depart toward North Platte. The crossing is the last diamond crossing on UP's Overland Route in the state of Nebraska, a status it achieved after the grade separation in Grand Island was completed back in the 90's. |
