Operating in combination with the 2014 National Train Day events out of Rutland, Vermont on May 10, the Vermont Rail System launched their 2014 50th Anniversary excursion schedule with trips operating to Florence, Vermont behind the 50th Anniversary-painted GP40-2W 311. The southbound run was led by GMRC GP40 304 as seen passing the Vermont Marble Museum at Proctor, VT.
