No. 19 high balls through McEwen and looks bound and determined to make it to Baker City for the first time in 67 years. Eric Wunz, the engineer, claims "we were doing the yard speed limit of 5 mph and preparing to stop within the 300 feet of track end. Fortunately the breeze was up valley and carrying the smoke plume west as we came through the station eastbound. Brakes were applied so I could work the throttle and lift the smoke up a bit. With 9 cars it stops pretty quick once the throttle was shut". I dunno, the picture sure looks like Eric was balling the jack.
