This beauty wont be at the Streamliners at Spencer event this coming weekend - it no longer exists (it was scrapped last month, photo here). On the bright side, a sister unit (in NH paint) will be part of the lineup! At the time of this photo, the dual mode P32s had taken over the majority of the road work, but you could still catch an FL9 in revenue service from time to time. The 486 was one of two FL9s that remained active on the Amtrak roster the longest of their final six.
