| Altoona's Juniata Shops continue to experiment with new locomotive designs. Their newest project is the this Compressed Natural Gas Mother Slug Set. NS 799 has been designated as the CNG Tender for the NS 5053 GP38-2 Mother Unit. NS 799 will supply the flow of Natural Gas to the mother unit; in return, the Mother unit will provide power for the slug's traction motors. |
