      Remarks & Notes
Stay bolts being cut inside the boiler of ARR 557. This is getting toward the rear on top of the firebox in a hard to reach area of the boiler. The staybolts are cut in the middle then are one at a time heated from the outside and someone pulls them out from the inside while laying on top of the firebox inside the boiler. It is slow and not easy work in a very tight space.

A far cry from the common wedgie ... and particularly well executed.
