| Up to the 1960ies this former station has an important role as water station for the steam engines of the FCAB. Nowadays the steam is gone and the diesel locos are running through the station without a stop. EMD GR12UD #1408, Clyde G22 #1434 and EMD GR12UD #1402 are hauling a sulphuric acid train in direction of Calama and the big Chuquicamata copper mine |
