The Z man starts to throttle up to the blistering speed of 10mph as he passes a semaphore signal always displaying an “approach” at the Air Base Blvd road. This is the second semaphore still seen on a class I mainline in the state of Alabama that displays a proceed prepared to stop at next signal aspect. Due to a very slow mainline top speed, this same train would be seen again a mile down the road.
