| 123.8 miles to Montreal West. CP 608 departs Smiths Falls with CP 9595 leading and CP 8791 pushing after a speedy crew change. Most of the train is on the Winchester Sub, though the rear DPU is still on the Belleville Sub. The searchlight signal at right says '123.8' which is the mileage to Montreal West, though this train does not go to Montreal West, but will take the Adirondack Sub south to Albany. The train is passing the CP Station which VIA Rail had been using for Ottawa-Toronto passenger trains until they moved their station a few years ago. At left is a stopped eastbound stack train. |
