Now designated as an E8, cab unit 80L was rebuilt in 1953 from an E-1, and leads westbound Train 11, The Kansas Cityan, at Tecumseh, Kansas, headed for Topeka and on to Texas on Aug. 27, 1967. Surplus 40-ft. box cars were gathering in little-used sidings, awaiting disposition.
