An EMD F45 converted into luxury lodgings sits on the grounds of the Izaak Walton Inn in Essex, Montana. The locomotive, painted in Great Northern's "Big Sky Blue" scheme actually started life on the Santa Fe painted in the road's blue and yellow freight scheme. The Izaak Walton Inn itself is a former Great Northern bunkhouse converted into lodgings, and is one of the few active flag stops in the US today.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
