Remarks & Notes

1271 was built by NZR Hillside in Dunedin and in 1956 was one of the last steam locomotives to enter service on NZR. After being withdrawn in 1970 it was restored by Steam Incorporated and returned to service in 1997. Here it makes a service stop at Woodville, junction for the line to Masterton where it is bound.
