Unique rail equipment from around New England is beginning the trek to White River Junction, Vermont's 22nd Annual Glory Days of the Railroad Festival, set for this weekend, September 12-14. While equipment will be present from Amtrak, Vermont Rail System, New England Central and the Claremont Concord Railroad, Pan Am Railways will bring together an eclectic mix of heritage locomotives and the company's office car special train for display. Having departed Waterville, Maine at 09:00 hrs on September 8, the train - PAR FP9s PAR-1 and PAR-2 are joined by Maine Central Heritage GP9 (ST) #52 and the Boston & Maine Heritage GP9 (ST) #77 - is seen arriving at East Deerfield as it crosses the Connecticut River at 22:20 hrs. Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
