| UP4876 is seen here about a half mile east of the now non existent Cobre, Nevada. Cobre was the junction with the defunct Nevada Northern Ry. The old NN rails are still in place, but the railroad has been abandoned for many years. The 4876 is leading the KG2LT westbound. It has climbed out of the barren Tecoma Valley at Montello and will soon top out at Valley Pass. Further west is Moor Summit and then a descent to Wells, Nevada and the Humboldt River. |
