This last summer, I got my first chance to visit the Bellingham area, and with all costs covered! I attended a week-long Christian conference in town, and thanks to having my car, I was able to take the opportunity to head south of town one evening for a picture, knowing it could be a very long time until I would return to the area. Running just a few minutes behind schedule, southbound Cascades 517 crosses the causeway over Chuckanut Bay just a few miles south of Bellingham. Despite clouds that lessened the glint I was hoping for, I still managed to get a decent shot out of it.
