Tough winter day on the Kyle—7
Crossing a fill west of Levant, Kansas, a westbound Kyle plow extra gets a breather from pushing the white stuff on January 2, 2007. Over 30 inches of snow fell on this December 29-30 snowstorm, and wind really moved the snow around, making cuts especially bad. Power for the extra out of Colby that morning was former Southern Pacific EMD SD45T-2s (CEFX, eventually becoming Kyle) Nos. 9282 and 9245. Part of a series of images of winter fun on the Kyle.
