The guard keeps watch from the rear cab, as his two car 'Hunter' DMU set departs Civic station with a local service from the Hunter Valley. At the time of writing, the line into Newcastle is due to be ripped up and the land sold off to developers on Boxing Day 2014, making this scene impossible to repeat.
