| A condition of the MP-UP merger was the granting to D&RGW of rights over the MP to Kansas City. As seen on this westbound, some of the auto-related traffic that MP had carried for years stayed on the line, even though MP/UP tried to reroute everything to the parallel Kansas Pacific. Chunks of this line remain in service, but it is no longer a through route. |
