| E8048 / E8051 are two examples of their Class (Class 8E Centre Cab Electric Shunting Locomotives) that remain in service as of November 2014. Originally 100 of these locomotives were placed in service between 1983 and 1985, but their days are numbered now, with many of them having already been withdrawn from service / scrapped - spares are a problem. They are pictured here at the yard adjacent to the recently closed Clairwood Racecourse. |
