Santa Fe's original CF7 rebuild, 2649, the only one that retained the original F unit cab from which it was built rests side by side with an F unit which will eventually be transformed into a CF7 or Cleburn rebuilt F 7, hence the model designation. All post rebuilds received modified cabs.
