| Ashkum, IL is the last location of an IC signal interlocking tower and an original signal gantry on the Chicago Subdivision. The original look of gantries and towers was once shared with Otto, IL - until signal upgrades downed both gantries. Now Ashkum stands alone with the time ticking on this display... which I find a good backdrop for the City of New Orleans knocking it down after getting the line-up on a very quite and cold evening on this line. |
