| NS 213 passes through Central, SC on a remarkably beautiful spring afternoon with quiet a colorful lash-up! In the foreground, an old pipeline marks the location of a Southern Railway water tower that went down in the 1950's. In the background, Ex Southern Railway color lights stand proud guard over the tracks. These signals have (since the time of this photo) been taken down and replaced by the new "Darth Vader" signals. The signal bridge it's self was built from boxcar frames way back when. |
