In what looks to be a model railroad-inspired consist, Norfolk Southern's Enola, PA to Montreal, QC haulage train, operating on Canadian Pacific Railway's Canadian Mainline Subdivision, hosts CNW C44-9W 8646, CSXT C40-8W 7681 and CN C40-8 2129 (ironically ex-CNW 8546!) as it passes the prominent and majestic Plattsburgh, New York station at 03:20 on January 18. Note the train crew waving with their appropriately placed sunglasses - not their first night seeing these flash units ;-)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
