The first half of an 80-car ethanol train operating on the Green Mountain Railroad is seen with with GMTX SD60 9000 leading GMTX GP38-2 2215, VTR GP38-3 207 and GMTX GP38-2 2208 is in dynamic braking mode downgrade into Ludlow, Vermont in the pre-dawn hours of January 25. The GMTX SD60, jointly leased by Providence & Worcester and the Vermont Rail System for use is serving the Green Mountain Gateway routing for this particular train, with Canadian Pacific Railway handing the train off to the VRS at Whitehall, NY and the P&W delivering to Motiva in Providence, RI.
