    Remarks & Notes
On December 2nd, 2013, the Amtrak station in Norfolk, Virginia, opened for business. Norfolk is the southern end of Amtrak's Northeast Regional service, which connects this southern city with Boston, Massachusetts. When Amtrak's Mountaineer ceased operations in 1977, Norfolk was without passenger service until December 12th, 2012, when operations resumed with just a platform. The station is near a Tide light rail system station at Harbor Park, and it is also adjacent to the Harbor Park baseball stadium.
