Remarks & Notes

Nothing beats a Hartwell Railway consist. From all my years of railfaning, Hartwell has always presented amazing locomotive lash-ups. On a quiet January night, a power set is seen tied down just outside of Toccoa with a consist of Ex Conrail/Ex CNW/Ex EJE. Try seeing that on the mainline today! This would be my first time seeing the Ex Conrail without banners covering up the words. I've photographed this line countless times before, and that engine always had banners on it. Thus, this was my first time seeing the nose. You can really see what this thing has been through! You can Also see three railroad's paint on it! Penn Central black shows up behind the Conrail Blue, and the Conrail blue has some CSX orange on it. It is sad to see this engine in this condition, but exciting to see it still earning its keep!
