| UP 7907 south is exiting UP’s Ogden Subdivision line from southern Idaho at Cecil Junction in Ogden UT and for the moment has become an eastbound train on UP’s Evanston sub crossing over from main 1 to main 2. Cecil Junction is the end of the Evanston sub and the beginning of the Lakeside sub to the west. The double track behind 7907 leads to the causeway across the Great Salt Lake and to points west in Nevada and northern California. The white ballasted line to the right is Utah Transit Authority’s connection to the Ogden sub. UTA runs two trains a day from Ogden to Pleasant view, approximately five miles to the north, over UP’s Ogden sub. |
