    Remarks & Notes
This 1955 excursion via the PRR Schuylkill Branch into to anthracite region makes a stop at Carbon enabling the photographer a chance to get a shot of two PRR employees sharing a moment in this otherwise lonely outpost before the train resumes its journey to Wilkes-Barre. It's been a while since passenger trains have ventured this far past Norristown even at this date. Anscochrome ASA 32 original. The twin towers are the tops of water tanks used for watering steam engines which ceased in 1953.
