    Remarks & Notes
February 14, 2015. Amtrak's eastbound Southwest Chief #4 negotiates the twists and turns of scenic Glorieta Pass, on an unusually warm winter's night. Running approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes behind schedule after experiencing some mechanical issues in Southern California, the train makes a rare nighttime appearance on what is almost always a daytime setting.

Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.

A far cry from the common wedgie ... and particularly well executed.
