Looking like a diesel with a jawbone or tooth ache, in its final years UP Alco PA 605 wore a cast pilot from a 4-8-4. There is probably a story what happened to its original pilot, but it didn’t matter on Oct. 10, 1965 when the PA’s were in a scrap line at Kansas City, Mo.
