| The bell tolls... the last remaining F units are off property of the former Erie Mining Company. This is the only time to my knowledge these engines had been off property since 1956. It is the end of an era. There will be no more cleanup moves, no more car shuffling. They have just turned their last wheels ever on the former EMCO property. This truly is the end. For the engines though, they have been purchased by IBCX and will be put to use in Indiana. Pictured here are the 4214 and 4210, while the 4211 and 4222 live on at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum. |
