It’s been fifteen years since UP reintroduced their ‘winged’ logo on the noses of their locomotives, and while they did so as a nod to their own heritage, it also seems appropriate here on the former Missouri Pacific – the “Route of the Eagles.” The 1893-built former MP depot, which is still a stop for Amtrak’s Missouri River Runners, can be seen in the background.
