Southern, well, as Southern as she could be- 2716 roars up the Southern main returning to Alexandria from a Charlottesville round trip. This would be the Kanawha's last steam excursion during her brief tenure on the steam program. She would return to Birmingham this same week and sit in the Irondale shop until 1994 before FWHS rebuilt her for a set of trips in 1996 in Indiana.
