| YV01 the Elkin switcher's 2 units have just returned from spending all morning switching the busy industries about 10 miles west of here at Roaring River. With the train dropped just west of town on the main, they pulled into the siding to the right. The power from YV02 waiting on the main has just arrived with the road train from the NS interchange in Winston-Salem which was dropped east of town in the siding to become tomorrow's YV01. After coupling up, YV02 will promptly head east to Winston-Salem. This is on the former Southern Rwy North Wilkesboro branch. While the tracks are in place all the way into N. Wilkesboro, the last serviced industry is just west of the tiny community of Roaring River. |
