| Six (3 pairings) of the twenty eight strong fleet of PRASA Class 18E electric locomotives staged under the Argyle Road Bridge at the yard in Durban. Paired together are 18-402 / 18-405 (purple Shosholoza Meyl livery), 18-433 / 18-425 (PRASA blue livery) and 18-424 / 18-429 (PRASA blue livery). Recently we have seen a few of the older “purple” liveried locomotives being repainted into the PRASA “blue”, so it was quite a surprise to see 18-402 having clearly just had some purple paintwork done, that extends beyond just the cowcatcher. |
