When looking inside the cab of a Big Boy, one can see how challenging it must be to keep this beast of a steam engine running. The men who ran these monster steam locomotives were certainly a skilled bunch who must have made it an art form to keeping these gigantic engines under control. This particular Big Boy was rebuilt by the Union Pacific at its Cheyenne steam engine facility after being involved in a deadly derailment in 1953.
