Amtrak lost a great railroader, the railfan community lost a great friend, and the world lost a great guy today. Pete Grosso, seen here (on left) as conductor of a yard move shoving Amfleet Office Car #10001 into Washington Union Station, departed this world this morning. Heavy hearts were abundant today in Washington Terminal and around Amtrak.
